More about Jackpot City Casino
Jackpot City is a VERY established online casino, launching back in 1998 which happens to be just one year before we started our online reviews! Since its opening some 25 years ago, Jackpot City has evolved with the times, launching its mobile casino and continuously improving its product for players with hundreds of new games for members to play.
Join Jackpot City Casino and join a huge membership playing every day. Roughly a thousand different casino games await your play including hundreds of slots (including progressive jackpots), baccarat, roulette, blackjack and other table games, keno, scratch cards and a lot more. If you haven't done so before, once you've joined Jackpot City take a look at the casino's live-dealer games. You're almost guaranteed to enjoy them and it's the ultimate when it comes to realistic online casino gambling. You can even play an official live Monopoly game at Jackpot City!
Jackpot City welcome new members with up to $/€1600 in sign-up bonuses from the moment you join Jackpot City. These are broken down to four 100% up to $/€400 bonuses on your first four real money deposits at Jackpot City. The minimum qualifying deposit to obtain these four bonuses is just $/€10 so it's a welcome promotion to suit everyone.
Who can/can't join Jackpot City Casino?
Jackpot City Excluded countries: whilst Jackpot City is undoubtedly hugely popular in many parts of the world (Canada and New Zealand, in particular), there are a LOT of excluded countries including some huge markets such as Australia, Slovakia, UK and USA. This is a shame - in the past, before messy legal licenses and incompetent governments had their way, Jackpot City was available almost worldwide. We live in different times, sadly. Here's Jackpot City's lengthy list of excluded countries: Afghanistan, American Samoa, Andorra, Antarctica, Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Botswana, Bulgaria, Cameroon, China, Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Colombia, Congo, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, East Timor, Estonia, Ethiopia, France, French Guiana, French Metropolitan, French Polynesia, French Southern Territories, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Greenland, Guadeloupe, Guam, Heard and McDonald Islands, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iran, Israel, Lithuania, Macau, Malaysia, Malta, Martinique, Mayotte, Mexico, Micronesia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Netherlands, New Caledonia, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Norfolk Island, North Korea, Northern Mariana Islands, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Reunion, Romania, Russia, Rwanda, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Martin, Serbia, Serbia and Montenegro, Seychelles, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Spain, St Helena, St Pierre and Miquelon, Syrian Arab Republic, Taiwan, Tanzania, Turkey, Uganda, UK, Ukraine, USA, Vatican City State, Venezuela, Vietnam, Virgin Islands (British and US), Wallis And Futuna Islands, Yemen, Zambia
Join Jackpot City via desktop or mobile - but no download option
It's undeniable that Jackpot City's Microgaming download casino was a big 'pull' for players, attracting new members to join Jackpot City in their tens of thousands. Downloading Jackpot City offered a large-screen, fast-moving, easy-to-navigate online casino with zippy-fast games and improved graphics. So it seemed illogical when Jackpot City removed it's premium download casino a few years ago.
What does this mean for new sign-ups wanting to join Jackpot City Casino? Without the premium download option (which IS still available at other online casinos such as Yukon Gold offering exactly the same casino games!) (read Yukon Gold review), Jackpot City players are limited to playing at the casino either via a standard computer browser or mobile phone/tablet. These are good alternatives but not a patch on the original download casino.
Sorry, Jackpot City, but we think you lost (and continue to lose) a lot of new playing joining Jackpot City as a direct result of lessening the ability of your players to access the casino in its best light. For players who WANT to only access Jackpot City via a mobile device, you'll be happy enough with the games here - if you don't mind the smaller screen and slower processing power. Jackpot City's website offers two mobile downloads - one for iOS and another for Android. That said, this group has in the past boasted about mobile players NOT needing to download any software to join Jackpot City via mobile, so it will be a nice surprise for you when you join Jackpot City to discover if there's an app to be downloaded or not! It's likely to change over time, as it already has, so whatever we write here is inevitably temporarily accurate as best we can keep track of Jackpot City's joining/downloading requirements.
If you're the player-type who prefers to gamble only with your own funds and not claim bonuses, you will find Jackpot City a perfectly-suited casino for you (as long as you didn't want to download the casino, of course). However, if you intend to claim any of Jackpot City's welcome bonuses or ongoing deposit bonuses in the future then you HAVE to be aware of some not-so-great T&C limitations that really spoil the fun, in our opinion. Check out this unfortunate piece of dung in the casino's bonus terms:
"Where a Sign-Up Bonus has been granted to you, subject to you being required to have met all wagering requirements, you will be limited to a maximum withdrawal value of 6 times your first deposit amount and any remaining balance will be forfeited. This clause will only be applied at the discretion of casino management." - we think this is a completely unnecessary and UNFAIR player term that should not exist. We recommend you do NOT accept any welcome bonuses at Jackpot City as a result and play ONLY with your own deposited money without pulling your hair out in frustration when it comes to cashing out your winnings.
In summary, if you don't mind the equipment limitations of having to play via a mobile device or browser then Jackpot City is a good online casino definitely worth joining - but we have to strongly recommend avoiding the casino's bonuses. They're just not worth it. The same advice applies for all Jackpot City sister casinos you're considering joining, including Gaming Club Casino, Lucky Nugget, River Belle Casino and Ruby Fortune Casino also featured here at JoinOnlineCasino.com.
To end on a lovely positive and reward you for sticking it out this far, everyone who joins Jackpot City Casino until further notice can claim an exclusive 50 free spins at our 'no deposit bonuses' site, just click that link and enjoy. You can also read more about/claim this free bonus on our no deposit bonuses page here at JoinOnlineCasino.com.
A welcome update in 2024 came from Jackpot City, advising us that they'd HALVED the welcome bonus requirement from x70 to a much more palatable x35. Still, if you do accept this bonus then remember your future cashouts will be limited to just x6 your first deposit amount. So it still kinda sucks.
